Mission

partment was established in conjunction with Arabic Studies College, where was one of the seven sections, which represents the strength of the faculty at the same time .The department represents one of the main basics for completing the system of teaching Arabic as the department continues for 42 hours, teaching for the four years to get the second level in the number of hours in teaching at the faculty . The students in the Literary Studies Department study Arabic literature from its earliest days (ignorance) to the contemporary literary lesson Studying of literature in the faculty represents a picture that merges between heritage and contemporary time as the student examines the roots of Arabic Literature especially history and also the modern literary studies. -: Strength of the Section The department included initially in its inception, certain members from the Faculty of Arts to be represented as following Prof. Hassan Ismail Abd Ell Ghani, who moved from being an instructor in the Faculty of Arts, Minia University to the Faculty of Arabic Studies, Literary Studies Department And his representative is Mr. Mohamed Alam El Deen Shukairy who wasemployed as an assistant professor of the department under thechairmanship of Dr Abd el-Khaleq Abd el-Khaleq Faculty Dean and thedepartment head .Then the appointments revolved and also the number ofstaff members in the faculty increased over the years to achieve thecurrent number of five professors two assistant professors twoprofessors and three instructors And then the department Presidency was assumed gradually over the years since 1983 until today 2010 .
